Production and service technician
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and reliable Production and service technician for our team. This person will work closely with the development team to provide them feedback so as with customers during installations.
Duties and responsibilities
Technological preparation of production
- Verification of production technology of subcontractors
- Improving quality and optimizing production
- Requirements for development in terms of manufacturability and service
- Participation in prototype testing
- Assist the sales team worldwide and answer technical/scientific queries related to specific products.
- Creation and maintenance of documentation for all types of products
- Material planning
Material flow and production optimization, inventory management
- Processing possible analyzes and proposing improvements
- Provision of material, including complaints
- Procurement of material, complaints management
- Receiving, checking, and cleaning materials
Assembly, testing, and finalization
- Adjustment, setup and testing, and troubleshooting
- Troubleshooting reported product errors
- Keeping electronic records of the entrusted product
- Preparation for shipment
- Preparation for packaging, procuring packing lists, completing packages, and proper marking
- Service
Installation of the product at the customer and its training
- Searching solution for reported technical issues (by phone, in person in the field)
- Identification of defective parts and faulty production processes leading to continuous quality improvement
- Keeping documentation on performed tests and interventions
To handle this position, you will need:
- Secondary school/university education in the corresponding field (typically machine engineering, electro engineering)
- Advanced knowledge of Czech and English (min. B1) required – you will instruct foreign customers and communicate with colleagues in France
- Min. 2 years of experience as a production engineer, system tester, service engineer
- Experience in a related field (optics, precision mechanics, electronics, medical devices …)
- Experience from the international environment of a technology company
- Communication skills
- Independence, reliability, proactivity
- Knowledge of MS Office and other relevant systems
- Willingness to travel as part of service interventions
